The "Declaration of Intention" document #2335 for Francesca (Franca) 11/25/1940 and document #2340 for Luca, 1/6/1940. The "Certificate of Naturalization" #6083869 for Luca 3/24/1944 and #5446426 for Francesca (Franca) 6/12/1943.
All documents show that Luca and Francesca (aka Franca) were born, raised, married and lived the first few years of marriage in Ripe, Ancona, Italy.
Luca and Franca immigrated separately to the USA as follows: Luca arrived in the Port of New York from Genoa, Italy on board the S.S. Trava, 4/2/1903. Francesca (Franca), using the name Franchina Zacchilli, arrived in the Port of Boston from Genoa, Italy onboard the vessel S.S. Romanic, 9/7/1905.[As of 8/30/2010 no passenger list records have been found].
Luca came to the USA before Franca came with two small children, Lucy and Vinny. Luca's occupation is listed on the US Deptartment of Labor document #253 as "Foundary Worker." They all lived at 200 Water Street, Plymouth, Mass. At some point after the summer of 1919, they purchased the family home at 22 Howland Street, Plymouth, Mass.
